The 2024 Cannes Film Festival got under way tonight as three-time Oscar-winner Meryl Streep received an Honorary Palme d'Or at a ceremony presided over by Camille Cottin. The opening night film was Quentin Dupieux's The Second Act, with his stars Raphaël Quenard, Louis Garrel, Léa Seydoux and Vincent Lindon all on the red carpet.
