Andrew Haigh's All Of Us Strangers garnered four nominations |
The story of a screenwriter who makes a disconcerting discovery when he returns to his hometown after many years away, Andrew Haigh's All Of Us Strangers, which recent screened at Newfest, is leading the pack in the 2023 Gotham Awards, with four nominations. As you might expect, that means the race is wide open, but Past Lives and A Thousand And One have also emerged as strong contenders, each with nominations in three top categories.
The first big awards nominations of the season outside the festival circuit, those revealed today will help to define the competition over the coming months, all the way through to the Oscars in March. We'll find out which titles have been successful this time around on 27 November, at a ceremony in Cipriani Wall Street, New York.
Because their selection period runs earlier in the year, you may notice some films nominated for Gotham Awards which were considered for other awards last year.
