After Dark horror festival comes to UK

Empire cinemas to host inaugural British version of US showcase

Empire Cinemas is to host After Dark Originals horror festival from March 4 to 6 in London's Leicester Square, Basildon, Poole, Swindon, Sunderland and Newcastle.

The festival is an off-shoot of the US After Dark Horrorfest and will showcase seven horror films, with genre fans encouraged to get dressed up for the occasion and take part in event-related competitions.

Each title will also receive a separate DVD and Blu-ray release with a complete ‘special edition’ box set scheduled for Halloween 2011.
