Bullfight
Reviewed by: Chris

This Spanish-flavoured contemporary dance is intercut with scenes from a bullfight. As in A Moment In Love, the dancing seems to have been subsumed by cinematic technique. The dancer lacks the passion necessary to mirror the intensity of the bullfight. Regarding dance styles, that of Isadora Duncan’s ‘revolutionary dances’ would have been more appropriate. It is, however, an interesting piece both in its own right and when seen as a stepping stone toward Clarke’s overall opus.
