Dukes Of Hazzard
""

I have to admit, this has to go into the bucket marked Guilty Pleasures. It's a simple no-brains entertaining 90 minutes, which is sometimes exactly what is required of a film.

The plot involves the Duke cousins, Luke (Johnny Knoxville), Bo (Seann William Scott) and Daisy (Jessica Simpson) trying to save their uncle Jesse's (Willie Nelson) farm from being turned into a gold mine by local bigwig, Boss Hog (Burt Reynolds).

That's all there is to it. And an excuse to show a lot of car crashes.

The performances are all okay, but I have to admit that my review has been prejudiced by the fact that when I was a young lad, The Dukes Of Hazzard was my favourite TV programme, even more so than the legendary A-Team, so I would have probably liked the movie anyway.

I am glad to report that it stands up on it's own merits and I think it's a good film, although I know a lot of people will think it's just brainless trash.

To them and to all those non-believers out there, I have one thing to say:

"YEE-HAW!"
