Comedy film collective Rong have scored again wtih this snappy short - largely due to a perfectly pitched performance of his own poem by Nathan Filer.

A modern retelling of the tale of Oedipus Rex, this isn't for the easily offended, but those who don't mind a bit of sex with their punchlines will be well-served.

While Filer and his poem would be amusing in any rendering, man and verse are ably helped here by the direction, which cleverly mixes close up shots with animation and re-enactment to push along the pace. Sometimes Rong can lack a punchline but things certainly reach a climax here.
