Two boats, the Pop Pop and the Mac, square up for a fight on a mist-bound sea as a gothic city rises behind them.
It's a battle filled with comedy and catastrophe as one by one their weapons meet their match. The only surety is that one of them is most definitely sunk.
The rendering of this simple story is what makes that little bit special. Atmosphere is everything, as the boats face off in the gloom. Each of the textures feels incredibly real, from the inky black slop of the waves, to the boats' rusted prows, with the finely realised reflections on one ship's cannonballs particularly impressive.
Apparently shot in just four weeks on just two home computers, it's clear these animators could well go much further.
