Le Grand Sommeil

Le Grand Sommeil

Trip the plastic fantastic with this odd little animation about three curious friends - a cowboy, an Indian and a horse.

They're the type of toys you used to find in crackers, but they're living together in a little yellow house, the horse doing the cooking, while the cowboy and Indian play ping-pong.

Things go awry when a stray ball knocks tablets into their soup. These guys are seriously accident-prone and suffer a series of somnambulant misadventures. Throughout it, the postman still delivers, indicating the passage of time.

This is clever, if distinctly odd.

One can't help but feel that maybe someone slipped something in the writers' soup before they put pen to paper.
