Herman Can Sing

The next act at the vaudeville show is announced and a moon-faced potato head appears with a box. Inside the box is a pint-sized replica of himself with a small guitar. The ventriloquist places the dummy on his knee and proceeds to sing a song without moving his lips.

All this is achieved with exceptionally crude clay figure animation on a poorly lit set. The editing and camera settings are more inventive, however.

It's a good song, well sung by a man with a country-and-western timbre to his voice, but there's no story. When the song is over, the show is over.
