Catzilla

Sometimes good things do come in small packages. Though this film is very short, it's certainly sweet. Its hero, when first encountered, seems small too, but then it's hard to tell against a plain white background. Cute, sleepy little kitten. Many of us will have seen our own cats drowsing like that and wondered what they're dreaming about.
In a city, sirens sound. Familiar old-fashioned animation, blocky buildings with searchlights behind.
Catzilla lumbers into the picture, half the height of the skyscrapers, crashing through the streets. As the army desperately try to intervene, our feline anti-hero reveals further unexpected powers. Talk about furry vengeance.
Catzilla isn't exactly sophisticated filmmaking, but then neither, one imagines, is the average vengeful kitten's dream. It does its thing effectively enough - it's neat and vicious and cute.
