Ireland and the UK are hopeful this year as The Banshees Of Inisherin boasts eight Golden Globe nominations, but there's everything to play for with a selection of nominations which has confounded critics' expectations. Everything Everywhere All At Once and Triangle Of Sadness have also garnered quite a bit of attention, and overall there is a strong showing for independent films, but there are some surprising entries in the Best Picture, Drama category, with festival successes overlooked in favour of Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way Of Water.

The winners will be announced on 11 January.
