Max and Carol top Indiewire critics' poll

Charlotte Rampling is named Best Actress.

Mad Max: Fury Road has done it again, acclaimed as Best Film with George Miller winning Best Director in the end of year Indiewire critics' poll. Carol came second in both categories and came top for Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score, while Max was back to take Best Editing with more than four times as much support as the closest runner up.

In a surprise turn, Cate Blanchett, whose performance in Carol has dominated awards season so far, came fifth in the Best Actress category, with Charlotte Rampling at the top for her work in 45 Years. Michael Fassbender enjoyed another win for Steve Jobs, helping him secure first place in the awards race to date.
