Searching For Sugar Man director was 36

Malik Bendjelloul, director of the Oscar-winning documentary Searching For Sugar Man, has died in Stockholm at the age of 36.

Starting out as an actor in the television series Ebba Och Didrik when he was just 13 years old, the Swede returned to prominence as an adult when his documentary made a splash at Sundance. It went on to win numerous awards.

The cause of Bendjelloul's death remains unknown but police say there were no suspicious circumstances.
