Terminator star resurfaces

Nick Stahl says he is on his way to rehab.

by Jennie Kermode

After sparking concern last week when his prolonged disappearance prompted estranged wife Rose Murphy to file a missing persons report, Terminator 3 star Nick Stahl has resurfaced. According to the New York Post, he emailed friends to assure them of his safety. It had been rumoured that his disappearance was connected to a drug or alcohol problem and this seems to have been confirmed by his statement that he is on his way to rehab.

The message will come as a welome relief to fans of the 32 year old actor, who has led a turbulent life since he rose to fame as iconic resistance leader John Connor in 2003. Efforts had been made to locate him in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles, where it was feared he had got into trouble, but it now appears that he was staying with a friend. Murphy, who says she has not heard from him directly since his disappearance, has expressed her relief at his safety but is cynical about his commitment to rehab.
