Back for another year, this popular festival is focusing on Encounters in 2015 with tales of unusual meetings and clashes between different ways of looking at the world. It also explores the impact of Western cultural themes in Japanese cinema. It's a great chance for UK cinemagoers to see exciting new Japanese works that may never become available here.

After its initial week at the ICA from January 30 to February 5, the festival goes on to tour Bristol, Belfast, Sheffield, Derby, Bimingham, Dundee, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Kendal and Nottingham.
