For such an old series, the transfer is great. Sound and picture quality is first rate, which will delight existing fans and, of course, aid new wannabee lords and ladies who will be spending time with these aristos.

You Rang, M'lord is released onto DVD as a way of introducing a younger audience to a mature character study, with clever writing and proficient plotting, making it accessible to all who can look beyond their ignorance to its period setting, which is something I first did upon casting my eyes over it.

Sadly, Auntie Beeb couldn't come up with any extras to complement this classic's resurrection, which is a poor way to celebrate its release into a new format for the first time.
