Read Jennie Kermode's film review of We Are Still HereA gorgeous addition to any collection and the sort of film you'll want to watch again and again, We Are Still Here should be enjoyed on the biggest screen you have. It's great for home viewing because you can pause it to read its flashed-up newspaper cuttings and other such treats in full, and there's a lot more present than you're likely to catch on first viewing it.
The film is accompanied by a behind the scenes feature which goes into a lot of depth about its origins and development. there are early sketches and insights on the actors' contributions, with Ted Geoghegan explaining his vision.
Producer Travis Stevens also makes an appearance, and goes on to join Geoghegan on the commentary track, which is entertaining from start to finish. It's full of technical information without being inaccessible, so it's intriguing for filmmakers and film geeks alike. You'll find yourself easily drawn in by it, to the point where, even if you've only just watched the film, you could find yourself watching it again.
