An interview with the director is brief, but has an earnest Diao Yinan revealing the inspiration behind the film - his family's brush with a man who attempted to bribe them whilst impersonating a police officer. He also talks about his entry into film-making, and the difficulties the industry faces in China. His outlook is positive overall, but suggests that free expression is still something to work towards.

There is also a collector's booklet in with the set - although that was not available at the time of writing this review.
