Eye For Film >> Movies >> Twin Falls Idaho (1999) DVD Review
The only extra here is a full audio commentary by Mark and Michael Polish. In it, they stress the limits placed upon them by a low budget, the unexpected influence of Sergio Leone, the difficulties of acting with a concealed leg, and the fact that their characters' shyness originally reflected their own shyness in front of the cameras.
Tellingly, they also reveal the different points at which they had considered ending the film, thus hinting at an insecurity about closure that is, unfortunately, reflected in the film's final, somewhat meandering sequences. On a more trivial note, apparently Pinky the elephant, who appears near the end, was the film's most expensive cast member.
