The Painted Veil

The extras are confined to a theatrical trailer and a film of the making of the film. The trailer is cunningly edited to tease with some of the best bits, which include the scenery. The promise of the trailer is unfortunately not quite met by the movie.

Similarly, the points made by the actors and the director of the movie about its plot and construction are points well made but you can’t help feeling that whilst they were all conscious of the effect that they wished to achieve they didn’t quite do so.
