The Lady Eve is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1. This new digital transfer was created from a 35mm duplicate negative and 35mm sweetened magnetic track. The digital transfer is so razor sharp that it adds to the brilliance of this little gem.
The commentary by film scholar Marian Keane is informed but tends to get a bit cerebral and weighty. Peter Bogdanovich gives us a more unpretentious appreciation in his short video introduction, The disc also features the Lux Radio Theater adaptation, performed by Barbara Stanwyck and Charles Coburn, with Ray Milland taking Henry Fonda's role.
The wonderful Edith Head's costume designs, with written comments from her memoirs, in which, amongst other things, she describes her hopeless efforts to create clothes for the snake, are also featured, plus stills and publicity materials, and the trailer.
