The Future Is Wild

Read Amber Wilkinson's film review of The Future Is WildThe picture presentation is clean and clear. I couldn't detect any scratching or graining. There are, however, some problems with the sound balance, which often sets the music too high, making it difficult to hear the underlying commentary track - which can be annoying.
The Making Of documentary is thorough enough, without being overly technical, but perhaps the nicest extra is the "in programme" feature. As the show is running, every time a new animal is discussed a symbol appears and by clicking the enter button you are taken to a subscreen showing the creature and detailing its features and habitat.
This simple interactive touch elevates this DVD above the average for a TV series disk and is great for kids.
