As you'd expect from such a recent release, the picture and sound quality are perfect. While the surround mix isn't quite as immersive as it could be, it's still used to reasonable effect throughout. Subtitling is all present and correct.

What a perfect set of extras! Exactly what any fan would want. The interviews may be standard fare, but those with Terry Pratchett and David Jason, in particular, give a great background to the production. Sean Astin seems a little like a fish out of water, but he's charming enough and if you can get past the awful Americanism of saying "Sir" David Jason just a little too often, his interview is worth a look too.

Deleted scenes and a blooper reel are always welcome on a DVD. The deleted scenes aren't major, nor will you be roaring with laughter at the bloopers, but they're still always a nice addition after you've enjoyed watching the main feature.

It's the Discworld Tourist Guides where this extras package really comes into its own. These are a set of eight five-minute original pieces providing a little background to Discworld, its themes and concepts. They're played for laughs (while still being informative), in the style of crackly black and white Ministry of Information films. They're presented by Nicholas Tennant, who plays the Head Librarian. Many of the other stars also show up to help out.

All the extras are light, enjoyable, fun and perfect for flicking through. Top notch.
