This underrated film is ideal for home viewing, where it can be watched multiple times to appreciate its various twists and turns. It's packaged with a making-of featurette that goes behind the scenes and incorporates several interviews to explore what the actors were trying to get at in their characters and how they saw the story evolving. There's not a huge amount of information here that you're not likely to have picked up already but it provides some useful context for those not familiar with the historical setting, with the asylum system or with the history of asylum-set cinema.
