Eye For Film >> Movies >> Raising Arizona (1987) DVD Review
The anamorphically enhanced 1.90:1 DVD exhibits image quality that ranges from rather good to mediocre. Daytime and sunset scenes are bright and well-contrasted - no apparent pixilation. Darker scenes are poor, with grain and artifacts noticeable. Colour fidelity is fine, with shimmer only intermittently. The Dolby 2.0 surround soundtrack is unimpressive, with the left and right speakers only kicking in during musical score moments. The dialogue and other sound activities are monaural in nature and stuck in the centre channel.
Theatrical trailer also included.
