Eye For Film >> Movies >> Penelope (2006) DVD Review
For a film so concerned with inner beauty and depth, the DVD extras on Penelope can only be described as superficial. The main extra is a five-minute electronic press kit-style featurette with cast and crew stating the obvious moral of the film. There is a little behind the scenes footage, but no great insight.
The rest of the extras are fun, if a little pointless. Penelope does boast having a well made trailer, complete with rhyming verse. There is also a slideshow but this mostly consists of stills from the film. For those with DVD-Rom drives there is a silly pig mask, four wallpaper designs in various size resolutions, and a screensaver. The picture quality is nice and clear and the sound is in Dolby 5:1 and 2:0.
