Eye For Film >> Movies >> Non-Stop (2014) DVD Review
The extras on this Studio Canal release are a straightforward cruise through the usual additions.
In featurettes Suspense At 40,000 Feet and Non-Stop Action, the main cast and crew talk about the unusual nature of the set - a mocked up plane cabin and the challenges of action sequences in the confined space. One says it was "like being on a two-month flight", while another likens it to "flying to the Australia every day". The talking heads are intercut with some behind the scenes footage - although more of the mechanics of the thing and less of the actors would have been welcome.
The interviews - a five-minute slot with producer Joel Silver and director Jaume Collet-Serra, six minutes in the company of Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson, and a two-minute burst of Michelle Dockery - are standard issue love-ins. Throughout, Neeson gets all the best lines, as he says: "It's not too bad, right, for a 61-year-old man?"
A trailer, hard of hearing subtitles and an audio descriptive track complete the package.
