Law And Order: Season One

Read Amber Wilkinson's film review of Law And Order: Season OneDespite the series being great and the picture and sound on this disk being grain, scratch and hiss free, there is a paucity of extras. The menus are static and the short documentary, in which Dick Wolf describes the motivation behind the original idea, is informative yet brief.
I suspect that the age of this series and the fact that many of its stars have now gone on to bigger and better things is the reason for the lack of commentary tracks and, to be honest, they may only have appealed to afficionados, anyway.
One nice inclusion is the original pilot episode of the series, which, although not listed as an extra, is a nice perk. Shame they couldn't be bothered to add in a scene selection.
If you like your crime-cracking inventive, well-acted and unexpected, owning this series is a must.
