This box set is a must-have for any Jackie Chan fan, with multiple versions of the films - Police Story 1080p presentation sourced from the incredible new 4K restoration, Police Story: The Japanese Cut, Police Story: The Police Force Cut, Police Story 2 extended version, Police Story 2: The Original Hong Kong Version, Police Story 2: original UK Version - and an impressive slate of special features. A lot of this material has been recovered from obscure VHS editions and is presented here on Blu-ray for the first time. It includes alternative opening and closing scenes that are very hard to find, plus several different audio tracks that interpret the action in different ways.

The trailers and stunt trailer are entertaining in their own right and - for once - don't include all of the best bits from the films, though they're non-stop action from start to finish.

Though it's aimed at collectors this is, like most of Chan's work, designed for a family audience, and will please young children just as much as longstanding fans of the genre.
