Once again this reviewer is left wondering, what is the point of buying a DVD?

Here is yet another disc considerably lacking in anything that could be described as interesting. Yes, there is the trailer, which practically every DVD on the market has. And, yes, there are two different commentaries from the technical people. But these are only for die-hard fans, who can be bothered to sit through the film again and listen to the dulcet tones of said people, with large pauses in between, and not just watch it twice, but three whole times!

Buyers are constantly having the phrases "better picture quality" and "amazing sound" shoved down their throats when buying DVD players and promised a better viewing experience, but can the average Joe tell the difference? Probably not.

Dead Again is one film that more than likely has benefited from these technical advances. Already ten years old, the film, which features a considerable amount of music and black-and-white photography, is very good quality. The picture is excellent and the sound very clear, but for the extra amount of money you have to dish out just for this, it isn't really worth it. Ever.
