Eye For Film >> Movies >> Coyote Ugly (2000) DVD Review
For this Platinum Edition the production company hasn't exactly splashed out and included the likes of games - come on, I needed something to make me want to explore the extras, maybe a little game of soak the Coyote? - but they have included enough to warrant you to buy this.
Usually you have a boring commentary, where the director and a member of the cast talk about the movie and how it was set up, but always do so as if they have been drugged and you can tell that they just don't want to be there. Not this time, because we have the Coyotes to help the director, who actually sounds excited to be doing it, as well as the destruction-loving Jerry Bruckheimer.
You also have Search For The Stars, a short interview with the director and producer, telling us that they sifted through nearly 5,000 people to find the right girls. Inside The Songs: we meet the women who wrote them for the movie and find out that Piper Perabo's singing voice is actually LeAnn Rimes. Coyote 101: an inside look into the bar, the ladies and the dances. Additional scenes: we see some of the bits that were cut out and realise that we are better off without them. Action Overload: don't think this is footage of Bruckheimer blowing up the bar, when they finished shooting; it's actually a montage of clips from the movie. Trailer: self explanatory. Last, but not least, Rimes's music video that everyone is sick of.
